1st Call 4 Service callout to Error message: “Check Printhead Path (2)” on HP 5500 60 inc Designjet Printer in Weybridge.
This fault was due to wear on the Carriage belt, sometimes customers refer to it as the rubber band. This belt moves the carriage assemble from left and right encasing the printheads creating the print while the paper is advanced through the printer. Printer error code thinks that there is an obstruction in the path of the carriage, you can check for obstruction and lubricating path before expecting the belt needs changing?
Serviced customers HP 5500 60″ Designjet printer and replaced belt and Line Sensor during time with printer.
